What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movements, done at high intensity. CrossFit is for everyone: men, women, young, old, overweight, underweight, disabled, prior-injury, and everyone in between. It is universally scalable so workouts, lifts, and movements, can be tailored for each athlete.

CrossFit classes use a combination of barbell/Olympic lifts, gymnastics, kettlebells, medicine balls and body weight movements to give you a whole body workout during each hour long class.

What is Burn?

Burn is a "constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement" class without the heavy lifting. These classes are based on the CrossFit methodology but focus more on cardio and body weight movements. Barbells will rarely be used, but you can count on working with kettlebells, medicine balls and hand weights, quite often. These classes also target the core, including the abs, back and hips. 

Classes run an hour in length with approximately 10 minutes of warm up, stretching and movement review. The actual workout will be between 30 and 35 minutes. 

If you are interested in CrossFit, come try your first Burn class for free and see how it suits you. Although they are not the same, Burn classes do require any prerequisite training classes, so you are welcome to show up to any class and even drag a friend along! Pre-registration is not required, though it is appreciated.
